The Operations Associate - Settlement is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. As an Operations Associate, you will be involved in various operational tasks, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Your contributions will directly impact our overall success.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the firm’s middle office operations in duties including but not limited to financial assessments, performing trade confirmations, trade execution, and trade settlement
  • Ensure operations are compliant with rules and regulations in various local jurisdictions
  • Processing and verification of all trades for the day processed in the system
  • Summarize daily transactions related to trade bookings and address any discrepancies that arise.
  • Ongoing project work focused on process improvement, system implementation, new product development, or launching in new markets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in finance is required.
  • Having knowledge of equity, fixed income, foreign exchange (FX), futures, options, and cryptocurrency is a plus.
  • Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen focus on data, details, and risk management.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin
