Amber is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Trader to join our global OTC Derivatives team. This role focuses on pricing, executing, and managing OTC derivatives trades while providing innovative solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial derivatives, including options and structured products, as well as in-depth knowledge of the cryptocurrency market. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required for effective communication.

Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Provide competitive pricing and liquidity to institutional clients and counterparties for OTC derivatives, including options, forwards, and bespoke structured products.
  2. Design, structure, and execute derivatives strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with their risk management and investment objectives.
  3. Actively monitor and manage position and inventory risks, adhering to the company's risk limits and policies.
  4. Execute trades in OTC derivatives markets, ensuring precision and efficiency in execution.
  5. Analyze market trends, volatility, and client flow to identify trading opportunities and develop proprietary trading strategies.
  6. Engage with clients to understand their goals, provide market insights, and propose innovative derivatives solutions.
  7. Manage trade booking, reconciliation, and reporting processes to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams, including risk, legal, and tech, to streamline workflows, improve pricing tools, and enhance the trading infrastructure.
  9. Stay updated on developments in derivatives pricing models, trading strategies, and regulatory changes impacting the crypto and broader financial markets.
  10. Flexible to work on morning or night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in OTC derivatives trading or sales trading, with a strong focus on options and structured products.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of derivatives pricing, Greeks, and risk management techniques.
  4. Expertise in structuring and managing bespoke financial products, such as accumulators, decumulators, and exotic options.
  5. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to model complex structures and assess market scenarios.
  6. Proficiency in using tools such as Python, R, SQL, or VBA for derivatives pricing, scenario analysis, and process optimization.
  7. In-depth understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and financial derivatives.
  8. Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
  9. Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, offering exceptional service and achieving trading and sales targets.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin to facilitate client communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.
