The Risk Shared Services team supports making informed decisions that align to strategic goals through the risk assessment process. In this role, you will influence efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risk sources, develop risk strategy recommendations, and communicate both findings and recommendations to key business partners and senior leadership. We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Risk Shared Services, Risk Assessment Standards Lead:

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated exceptional knowledge of specific domains, such as RCSAs, operations of a GRC tool, crypto industry knowledge
  • Develop, implement and monitor Risk and Control Assessments for ADS and ADNY and other regulated entities as it may be needed.
  • Collaborate with GRC and TMG teams to assess impact on the control environment and RCSA’s
  • Develop procedures to facilitate adherence to Risk Management Policy in ADS and ADNY.
  • Have relevant business insight to develop KRIs and KPIs to monitor key risks.
  • Work closely with Business Owners for remediation or quantify and accept risks identified during the RCSA process.
  • Provide consultation on preparation of regulatory reporting, including identifying risks and controls surrounding that process.
  • Perform Quality Assurance as required on RCSA data.
  • Facilitate root-cause analysis on risk events and ensure that identified control gaps/weaknesses have a remediation plan and provide oversight on timely remediation of any control weaknesses
  • Develop ongoing reporting packages for the Risk Management Committee and Senior Management.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and be a self starter in research
  • In depth understanding of critical risks applicable to financial institutions and experience enhancing ERM policies and procedures.
  • Excellent google sheets or excel skills
  • Excellent skills to coach more junior team members

Complexity & Impact of Work

  • Work autonomously, without oversight, be the Thought Leader and exercise expertise and judgment when creating solutions.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Risk, define priorities for regulated business lines such as ADS and ADNY with little direction, align to team and department strategy
  • Apply a sophisticated approach to problem solving.
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Successfully navigate roadblocks that may come up, escalating timely when blocked
  • Directly responsible for the entire lifecycle of ERM projects, processes, or tasks, including planning and design, execution, and deployment.
  • Support audit and regulatory requests, including risk assessment summaries, remediation and other evidence produced by the ERM program.
  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to assess a wide range of topics and assess risk at a micro and a macro level.

Organizational Knowledge

  • Ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with regulatory expectations, applicable regulations.
  • Review the strategy of Anchorage Digital and consider it while developing the Risk frameworks.
  • Ensure that knowledge is shared amongst the team and does not position themselves or others as a single point of failure.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Risk,understand how the company’s priorities relate to Enterprise Risk Management, and clearly communicate the ‘why’ behind the work.

Communication & Influence

  • Communicating and escalating risk trends and risk management best practices.
  • Contribute to cross-functional ERM projects, collaborate with FCC, TMG, IT Risk, InfoSec teams and adjacent teams to solve problems, and assist or teach other team members.
  • Break down large RCSA or Policy Review projects into smaller tasks, and accurately estimate the time and scope of projects. Articulate effectively the different options considered, analyze trade-offs, justifies and recommends priorities.
  • Use compelling arguments to convey Risk Management insights, recommendations, conclusions and ideas on how to improve the program.
  • Promote a positive working environment through proper listening, speaking and empathy with team members.
