Job Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Associate to join our team. As a Portfolio Associate, you will play a vital role in coordinating portfolio events, building and maintaining infrastructure to support portfolio companies, and building tools to streamline team operations. Your responsibilities will include managing virtual and in-person events targeting portfolio founders, maintaining the Animoca Brands portfolio updates, and utilizing coding knowledge to build tools that enhance team efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage virtual and in-person events from programming to on-site logistics, to ensure a smooth event experience for participants and attendees
- Build and maintain digital infrastructure to scale our support to 470+ portfolio companies, from contact lists to scalable support in fostering ecosystem partnership
- Update our portfolio on our website and other digital channels, showcasing our projects and providing relevant information for investors and partners
- Collate investor updates from portfolio companies and third party sources to help prioritize portfolio support
- Identify opportunities to improve and scale team operations by building tools, utilizing coding knowledge, and leveraging bots and APIs
- Collaborate with the team to understand operational needs, propose and implement process improvements, and contribute to overall efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist in general administrative tasks and support ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in managing multiple portfolio companies
- A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work
- The ideal candidate would have coding knowledge or curiosity to learn, so to build tools and automate processes especially across Notion, Airtable, and Slack
- Reliable and able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders in a professional manner
- Comfortable working remotely and independently, while being an effective team player
