Branch is looking for a talented Art Manager to lead our creative endeavors and shape the artistic direction our mobile game. This vital role encompasses overseeing the artistic process, establishing high-quality standards, building effective workflows, and facilitating seamless handoffs between art and engineering teams. You'll play crucial part in enhancing the visual aesthetics of our games, contributing to the overall success and immersive experiences for our players.

What you'll be doing:

  • Establish and maintain a consistent artistic direction across game projects, providing clear guidance and inspiring collaboration within the art team
  • Build and lead processes such as shipping cosmetics, quality assurance, and the implementation of workflows and standards that streamline the creation, review, and delivery of art assets
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and timelines for the art team, fostering a cooperative and efficient working environment
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures, conducting thorough art asset reviews, and ensuring the final approval and consistent delivery of top-quality art
  • Work closely with both art and engineering teams to maintain artistic integrity and facilitate successful integration into the game engine, particularly focusing on leadership and project management lines

You're a great fit if you have:

  • Extensive experience building and modeling environments, characters, creatures, and props across a wide range of styles
  • Proven experience working closely with developers
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and efficiency
  • Strong visual acumen with an understanding of aesthetic principles
  • Experience in building out processes, setting standards, and ensuring quality in various stages of art development
  • Ability to set goals, expectations, and timelines for a team, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on leadership and project management, ensuring the consistent quality of art assets
  • Familiarity with Unity and Git is beneficial for understanding the technical aspects of art asset integration
  • Ability to maintain a consistent visual style and artistic direction across projects without the need to redo existing works.
  • Solid understanding of one or more 3D creation suites (Maya, Blender, etc)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Quick learner and self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
