Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Reviewing Terms and Conditions: Study Bybit's products, draft, review, and update terms and conditions for products and services to ensure they align with company objectives and comply with applicable laws and regulations and risk appetite;
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks associated with product terms and conditions and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks effectively;
  • Legal Compliance: Stay current with industry-specific regulations, consumer protection laws, and other relevant legal requirements to ensure product terms and conditions are compliant;
  • Dispute Resolution: Provide legal support in resolving disputes related to product terms and conditions, including negotiation, mediation, or litigation when necessary;
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for relevant teams to ensure an understanding of product terms and conditions and compliance obligations;
  • Legal Research: Stay informed about legal developments relevant to the industry and product offerings, and provide insights on their potential impact on the company;
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with the General Counsel and other legal team members on various legal projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • License to practice law in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, U.K, or United States;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal and compliance experience at a global law firm or as in-house counsel;
  • Fluency in English, Working Mandarin is a great benefit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep commercial drafting skills, and experience negotiating complex crypto product transactions on behalf of financial institutions in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Australia;
  • Extensive experience with the regulation of financial products and financial services institutions in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and European Union region;
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology, financial services, or security; prior experience working in fintech, digital assets or high-growth tech companies a plus;
  • Proven ability to proactively, efficiently, and accurately assess legal and compliance business risks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience supporting a globally-distributed business, legal and compliance team;
  • Track record of creative problem-solving, excellent written and oral communication skills, and creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships.
