Crusoe Energy is on a mission to unlock value in stranded energy resources through the power of computation.

Take a look at what we do! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlt8k71Quqw

We aim to align the long term interests of the climate with the future of global computing infrastructure. As data centers consume an exponentially growing power footprint to deliver technology to all connected devices, we are inspired by making sure that the energy meeting that demand is sourced in an environmentally responsible fashion. Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering, and computational biology.

At Crusoe, we’re at the forefront of innovation, turning stranded energy resources into climate-friendly computing power. We’re looking for an Atlassian Cloud Administrator to lead the charge in managing and evolving our Atlassian ecosystem, ensuring it supports our rapidly scaling operations across multiple projects and teams.

The Challenge:
As Crusoe grows, so do our project management needs. You will take full ownership of the Atlassian suite, not only ensuring its smooth day-to-day operation but also driving strategic initiatives that help manage projects more efficiently across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Atlassian Project Management Initiatives:
Act as the primary administrator for Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and related tools. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project management processes are well-integrated within Atlassian platforms. Customize workflows, automate tasks, and manage permissions to streamline project execution.

  • Optimize Project Tracking & Collaboration:
Enhance Jira and Confluence to support project managers and team leads by designing dashboards, custom workflows, and reporting systems. Provide solutions that offer real-time visibility into project status, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring that projects stay on track and aligned with business goals.

  • Implement Best Practices in Project Management:
Serve as a project management expert for the organization, advising teams on how to best utilize Jira and Confluence to manage sprints, track milestones, and achieve deliverables. Guide teams through Atlassian’s advanced features to optimize collaboration, reduce bottlenecks, and increase efficiency across all departments.

  • Coordinate with Stakeholders:
Regularly meet with project managers, stakeholders, and power users to gather requirements, understand pain points, and implement changes that improve project delivery. Maintain a strong feedback loop to ensure that the Atlassian suite evolves alongside the company’s project management needs.

  • Document & Oversee Project Lifecycle Management:
Own the documentation of all Atlassian project workflows, global settings, permissions, and processes. Ensure that every project’s structure is well-documented and easily accessible for future reference, fostering continuity and minimizing disruptions during team transitions.

  • Champion New Features and Improvements:
Stay on top of Atlassian’s product roadmap and introduce new tools and features that enhance project management capabilities. Act as a change agent by driving the adoption of new Atlassian features that help project teams meet their objectives more efficiently.

  • Support the IT & Service Desk Teams:
Collaborate with IT and Service Desk teams to resolve project-related technical issues and ensure that all stakeholders have the tools they need to manage projects effectively. Handle escalations and provide expert guidance on optimizing project workflows.

What You Bring:

  • Project Management Expertise: 3+ years of experience designing and customizing workflows, managing project permissions, and optimizing project lifecycle management within Jira and Confluence. You’re skilled at helping teams implement agile project management methodologies and track project progress.

  • Leadership in Atlassian Ecosystem: 5+ years administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM) for large enterprises, with demonstrated success in implementing project management best practices.

  • Certifications & Expertise: At least two Atlassian Cloud/Jira certifications (ACP) and a deep understanding of advanced Jira Query Language (JQL), workflow schemes, and project templates.

  • Change Management Proficiency: A proven track record of driving successful project management initiatives and feature adoption across teams.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet project requirements.

  • Ownership & Accountability: You take full ownership of the Atlassian environment and the project management capabilities it supports, proactively improving processes and solving problems.
