About This Role:
As an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician at Crusoe, you'll directly assist the Manufacturing Facilities Manager in all aspects of maintaining our critical onsite equipment. This pivotal role involves troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, ensuring strict ISO adherence, facilitating maintenance implementations, and helping establish a robust preventative maintenance system. You'll ensure the operational readiness of our equipment, directly impacting manufacturing efficiency and safety. We're looking for a proactive, skilled technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a drive to continuously improve systems in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Quickly diagnose and expertly repair industrial equipment and address various facilities issues to minimize downtime.
Tool & Instrumentation Proficiency: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, multimeters, electrical instrumentation, and material handling equipment proficiently while performing duties.
Electrical Troubleshooting: Perform comprehensive electrical troubleshooting, including using a multimeter, conducting voltage drop tests, performing continuity checks, and reading complex electrical schematics.
Mechanical Systems & Compliance: Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read and understand equipment manuals, troubleshoot hydraulic and fluid systems, and maintain sensitivity to procedural compliance.
Regulatory & ISO Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory codes and possess knowledge of ISO documentation, contributing to a compliant work environment.
Vendor Interaction & Training: Interact effectively with vendors as needed and provide valuable training to personnel on essential equipment maintenance procedures.
Maintenance Schedule Management: Maintain an organized maintenance schedule, meticulously capturing all performed and upcoming scheduled maintenance tasks.
Safety Leadership: Proactively work in a safe manner, immediately recognize unsafe situations, and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of yourself and others in the building.
Preventative Maintenance System Implementation: Develop and actively implement a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) System to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
Equipment Problem Detection & Communication: Efficiently detect equipment problems and communicate issues clearly and promptly with the production team.
Project Management: Effectively manage maintenance projects with regard to time, safety, and resource allocation.
Documentation & Computer Management: Utilize computer systems to communicate, manage, and maintain all relevant documentation versions in accordance with regulations.
Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant state and federal regulations impacting industrial operations.
Cross-functional Communication: Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, fostering collaborative relationships.
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency: Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to minimize machine downtime.
Physical Task Performance: Exert muscle force to safely lift up to 50 lbs, push, pull, or carry objects, applying knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Education: High School Diploma/GED is required; a college degree is encouraged but not required. Relevant training and experience will be highly considered.
Maintenance Experience: 2 or more years of relevant manufacturing maintenance experience, specifically with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Hands-On Environment Experience: Proven experience doing maintenance in a similar environment with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
Communication Skills: Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
Adaptable & Collaborative Work Ethic: A proactive self-starter who consistently delivers assigned duties, knows when to seek assistance, and thrives in a team-oriented environment, readily supporting other teams and departments to achieve shared goals.
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Participation in a drug and alcohol program is required. Must be able to pass a background check.

Bonus Points:
Familiarity or experience using CMMS software for work order management, asset tracking, and preventative maintenance scheduling.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and minor programming adjustments.
Formal technical training or certifications in a specific industrial trade (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial electricity).

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in an hourly range of $25 - $30 per hour. All offers will include stock options. Pay will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
