As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About This Role:
As the Senior Manager, Material & Production Planning, you will lead and unify the Material Planning and Production Planning functions for Crusoe's Manufacturing organization. In this high-visibility operational leadership role, you will ensure raw materials and critical components are available while driving Master Production Schedules (MPS) and capacity models that maximize throughput for Crusoe’s AI infrastructure products.
You will manage a team of Material Planners and Production Planners responsible for balancing customer demand, supplier performance, shop-floor capacity, material readiness, and inventory strategy. Sitting at the intersection of Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management, you will design scalable, integrated planning processes and drive S&OP execution to support rapid scaling. This is a full-time, onsite leadership position supporting Crusoe's advanced manufacturing operations in Arvada, Colorado.
What You'll Be Working On:
Lead & Scale the Integrated Planning Team: Hire, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Material Planners and Production Planners while fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive S&OP & Master Production Scheduling (MPS): Lead cross-functional S&OP alignment and develop production plans that balance demand forecasts with shop-floor capacity, labor availability, tooling, and component readiness.
Own Material Readiness & Shortage Mitigation: Establish material planning processes to guarantee line availability. Lead Clear-to-Build (CTB) forums to proactively identify supplier constraints, part shortages, and long-lead risks before they impact shop-floor schedules.
Manage Capacity Planning & Throughput: Evaluate shop-floor capacity, labor constraints, and manufacturing resources to optimize production flow, eliminate bottlenecks, improve schedule attainment, and support rapid footprint expansion.
Optimize Total Inventory Health: Oversee safety stock policies, reorder points, buffer stock, excess & obsolete (E&O) risk, cycle counting, and Just-in-Time (JIT) material delivery to balance supply continuity with working capital optimization.
Cross-Functional Executive Alignment: Partner closely with Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management to align material availability, production schedules, and shipping targets with business priorities.
Support New Product Introductions (NPI): Coordinate material and production readiness for new hardware revisions and modular product launches, partnering with NPI teams to ensure smooth prototype-to-production transitions, BOM audits, and ramp schedules.
Leverage ERP/MRP & Advanced Systems: Drive demand planning, automated replenishment, work order creation, and shop-floor scheduling using ERP/MRP enterprise platforms (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite), identifying opportunities for system automation and master data integrity.
Monitor & Drive Key Operational Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators including Schedule Attainment, On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, Material Availability, Inventory Turnover, WIP levels, and Planning Accuracy while driving corrective actions.
Lean & Continuous Improvement: Spearhead Lean Manufacturing practices (Kaizen, Standard Work, 5S, Visual Management) across material flow and shop-floor scheduling to reduce lead times and improve delivery performance.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience across material planning, production planning, supply chain operations, master scheduling, or capacity planning within a complex manufacturing environment.
Leadership: 5+ years of direct people management experience leading material planners, production schedulers, or multi-disciplinary supply chain teams.
Dual Discipline Mastery: Proven track record running both Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) inside a fast-paced hardware manufacturing facility.
Systems Expertise: Advanced proficiency with enterprise ERP/MRP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and advanced supply chain planning modules.
Analytical Capability: Strong quantitative skills using Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) to analyze inventory health, model shop-floor capacity, and build operational dashboards.
Problem Solving & Lean: Demonstrated ability to manage supplier-related risks, resolve floor bottlenecks, lead cross-functional initiatives, and apply Lean tools to optimize end-to-end material flow.
Bonus Points:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain or an MBA
APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Experience supporting high-growth, rapidly scaling advanced manufacturing or highly configurable modular hardware (electrical systems, data center equipment, power/cooling infrastructure, aerospace).
