We are looking for a highly motivated communicative leader to join our Clearing team. This position will be responsible for managing and developing individuals who are part of our Treasury and Clearing Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multiple direct reports, various aspects of post-trade settlement lifecycle and an advanced understanding of banking and digital asset transaction processing. The role will report to the Head of Clearing Operations.
Supervision of a team that focus on day-to-day business operations and implementation of standard operating procedures
Conduct performance management and career development processes for team staff
Communicate well with team members by effectively demonstrating and explaining tasks and motivating by defining vision
Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in decision making, problem solving, escalating to management as appropriate
Act as a point of escalation to troubleshoot, resolve or further escalate customer and staff inquiries
Ensure all operational control processes are operating effectively and in accordance with internal policies and procedures
Aid in the processing of customer settlements including wires, ACH, and digital asset blockchain transactions
Work alongside with Clearing and Finance Senior Management to manage relationships with banks and wallet providers
Aid in completion of daily tasks such as bank and wallet reconciliations, system alert and exception management processing and customer report generation
Ensure and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements including state money transmitter and CFTC rules as well as internal controls, policies and procedures
Be a subject matter expert in various facets of business operations processes and clearing system functionality
Strive for continuous improvement by leading and assisting in the planning and development of new treasury and clearing projects to expand platform services and improve automation of key processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field
7+ years experience in Treasury Management or related functions preferably at a clearinghouse or clearing services firm
Ability to cultivate talent and develop a team
Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
General understanding of CFTC regulations with an emphasis on customer asset protection rules
General knowledge of digital asset products, blockchain transaction processing, etc.
Demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism in decision making and problem solving, escalating to management as appropriate upholding strong ethical standards
Strong team player who works well with others and supports a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and teaching
Excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas at all levels across the organization
Analytic and problem-solving skills, able to see the big picture while paying high attention to critical details
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to change and shifting priorities and implement effective action plans
