Job Description

The Sr. Director, Client Education is an experienced, passionate educator and instructor responsible for leading the creation and delivery of high-impact, evergreen education to a global student audience. Reporting the Head of The Options Institute, the Sr. Director, Client Education, will scale The Options Institute’s (OI) core curriculum of education materials to increase the audience size and service learner needs and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instruct a global, diverse student audience of retail and institutional learners that have varying degrees of experience with financial markets and products.
    • Instruct both in-person and virtually using the OI core curriculum of materials and learning objectives.
  • Write high-quality, accessible, outcome-driven evergreen education content (class/video scripts, outlines, articles, use cases, trading examples, etc.) and develop presentation materials (slide visuals, strategy payout diagrams, etc.) to add to the OI core curriculum.
    • Transform complex financial concepts into clear, concise, and actionable learning moments to drive learner engagement and students’ ability to apply the material.
    • Identify key learning competencies to help inform development of learner paths and generate novel education content formats to engage new and existing learners in partnership with Head of Curriculum Development.
    • Create new and tailor preexisting assessment and evaluation tools to measure learning impact and effectiveness of OI instruction and materials.
    • Responsible for copy writing compelling course summaries, introductions, and blurbs targeted to specific client segments.
  • Provide instruction training and subject matter coaching to junior instructors.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of the full OI education content library.
  • Stay abreast of and navigate industry developments, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform education content development and delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Expert understanding of capital markets with specific emphasis on derivatives products.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to distill key learning moments for a range of audiences and effectively transmit complex information.
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality written content for diverse audiences, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and completeness. Copy editing experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Strong passion for educating others and belief that education is a key to unlocking potential and transforming outcomes.
  • Highly aware of student experience levels and motivators in order to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and development/progress.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Zoom and Microsoft Office with expertise in creating visually compelling presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience trading equity derivatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and learning modalities (Understanding by Design, Telling Ain’t Training) a plus.
  • Multi-lingual preferred.
  • Identify travel requirements as a 25% of time
  • Minimum Years of Work Experience: 8
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor Degree
