As Cboe’s Global Compensation Director, you will be a critical member of the growing Total Rewards team reporting to the VP, Global Total Rewards. You will design, lead at team, and implement a variety of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. To be successful, you will need to be a collaborator, builder, and executor in order to deliver on a Total Rewards strategy that compels the best people to join and stay at Cboe.
Please note: Ideal candidate will work in or near one of our Cboe offices in Chicago, IL - Lenexa, KS - or New York, NY as this position is hybrid but also super flexible
Responsibilities include:
- Creating, leading, and executing strategic broad-based, sales incentive, and executive compensation programs to meet the business objectives and enhance Cboe’s competitive advantage through the attraction and retention of top talent. This includes managing a team of three compensation analysts.
- Providing partnership, education and direction to the HR Business Partners on all compensation matters for the business areas you will support (including job creation, new hire offers, internal promotions, pay adjustments, retention, and recognition).
- Leading the sales incentive plan program design and administration.
- Execute and administrator the Company’s equity compensation plans, including managing all equity transactions in our equity administration platform, equity awards, amendments, cancellations and reporting
- Manage compliance activities to ensure internal controls and audit requirements are met
- Executive-level role benchmarking, aligning with market data.
- Support the Comp Committee and CD&A section of the annual proxy statement materials
- Partner with stakeholders in Legal and Finance in relation to accounting and legal aspects of executive comp
- Creating streamlined and efficient compensation processes to ensure clear responsibilities between stakeholders and meeting compliance standards.
- Partnering with the rest of the Compensation team to provide subject matter expertise in the annual compensation planning review, in the mid-year promotion review, and any other major compensation initiatives.
- Utilizing competitive intelligence and market data to proactively address compensation challenges that impact the business.
- Creating a short-term and long-term vision and execution strategy for Cboe to become the employer of choice in the talent marketplace.
- Conducting compliance assessments to identify areas of risk or improvements that need to be addressed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualification/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. MBA or Masters in related field a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive compensation related experience that includes data analytics, internal compensation consulting, sales compensation, and executive compensation.
- Financial Services, Financial Technology and Global (UK, NL, APAC) compensation experience preferred.
- Experience creating new process and maintaining process documentation.
- Ability to drive and deliver results through influence and collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Project and change management experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills. Workday and Market Pay experience preferred.
- CCP certification preferred
- M&A experience preferred
