Cboe Global Markets is a trusted, global exchange operator with 27 markets worldwide. Our Global Listings offering provides liquidity, and capital to companies and ETP issuers worldwide. Cboe Canada is seeking a dynamic results-oriented Senior Manager for Business Development in our Canadian Corporate Listings team. This senior level role will focus on driving growth and expanding Cboe’s Canadian Corporate Listings by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and managing key client engagements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, relationship management, and corporate listings processes within the financial services or capital markets sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Responsible for identifying and executing on sales opportunities with a focus on attracting new public company listings for Cboe in Canada, as well as facilitating intralistings for Canadian companies with other Cboe exchanges globally.
Develop account plans, assist in the development of collateral, messaging, and sales tactics and strategies.
Contribute to the evolution of the Canadian Corporate listings business strategy.
Client Relationship Management:
Build brand recognition, relationships, and partnerships with go-public partners including law firms, merchant banks, investment banks and other capital markets professionals, as well as Company C-suite executives, board members and advisors.
Cross functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including legal, marketing, operations, and senior management, to ensure smooth execution of listing processes and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with corporate listings sales team in other regions to facilitate the intralisting of Cboe Canada listed companies on other exchanges.
Reporting and Analysis:
Maintain regular reports and pipeline status, deal flow, and progress against business development targets. Provide feedback and updates to senior management on opportunities, challenges, and market developments.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in a corporate listings, financial services, or capital markets environment. Prior experience with exchanges, investment banking, or corporate finance is highly preferred.
Strong Network: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, board members, institutional investors, and key stakeholders.
Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals, with a strong track record of achieving business development and revenue targets.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market conditions, identify trends, and formulate actionable strategies that drive growth and market share expansion.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of exchange operations, capital markets, financial products, listings processes and relevant regulations. Knowledge of securities law, financial reporting, and public offerings is a plus.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling presentations and deliver persuasive pitches to senior executives and stakeholders
Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a focus on timely execution
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Travel Requirements: 5-10 days per month
