What we're looking for
As an early member of our Engineering team, you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping the products we build for artists and fans. You’ll work with a talented group of software, product, and design people in teams with high autonomy to build compelling user experiences backed by a solid and scalable platform.
Our ideal candidate will have experience building web applications people love. We’re looking for engineers comfortable working across our (TypeScript / React / NodeJS / Vercel / GraphQL / PostgreSQL) technology stack but we don’t need you to be an expert in every area. You like to iterate quickly, and focus on the customer.
At Medallion, we’re working to create new opportunities for artists and creators in the emerging world of web3. This is an opportunity to get in early, and help define the way products and platforms are built in a new and fast growing market.
In this role, you will
Build and ship features and improvements directly to artists and their fans
Deliver clean, testable code for our web applications, APIs, and services
Own specific product problems and solutions, regularly deploying new features
Work collaboratively with your team, and have a voice in how work gets done
Help prioritize your team’s backlog, and give input on roadmaps and design plans
Be exposed to web3, including smart contracts and other blockchain technologies
4+ years in a software engineering role with significant impact on a product and/or team
Experience & desire for working in cross functional teams with product and design people
A proven track record of developing products people love, and understanding users
Experience with TypeScript and React will help you get started, but we can help you learn
Great if you’ve worked on SaaS, B2B2C, or a platform before but not strictly necessary
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform is also great but not strictly necessary
Being passionate about music will help you empathize with users, but we can help there too

Open vacation policy and flexible holidays so you can take time off when you need it

Medallion is building a new music economy, using web3 technology to help artists build deeper and more fulfilling connections with fans. With Medallion, artists can create owned and operated digital worlds that expand fan participation, actionable insights, and economic potential in ways that are not possible on the current internet. We work hand-in-hand with some of the most influential artists in the world to change the future of music fandom, including Tycho, ILLENIUM, Greta Van Fleet, Mt. Joy and Tessa Violet.
Our team is a diverse and experienced group of music and tech professionals who have built and exited successful startups. We bring expertise from companies such as Instagram, Uniswap, Hearst, Songkick, and Warner Music Group. We are funded by leading investors across tech, crypto, and music, including The Chernin Group, Third Prime, Synergis, Polygon Ventures, Another Planet Entertainment, Red Light Management, ILLENIUM, Mike Shinoda, and Tycho.
In the past 18 months since the founding of our company, we have worked quickly and diligently as a small team towards a first version of the platform that our early customers love. The next phase of Medallion is about significantly improving the user experience in the product, and scaling to many more artists & fans.
