Responsibilities
Manage 5 to 10 engineers and be responsible for their performance and delivery: regularly
reviewing their work, provide coaching, resolve conflicts and blocking dependencies, etc.
Provide technical voice on the team to ensure secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable design
and architecture. Implement Paradigm’s engineering process and help evolve it to keep up with
growing team, product features, and market traction. Ensure delivery on product priorities by
collaborating with the Product team to understand and resolve customer requirements. Help in
recruiting efforts for the entire engineering team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
plus 6 months’ experience in backend engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in
backend engineering - Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: Python; Java; C++; Docker;
Jira; monitoring and scaling microservice-oriented systems; and technical leadership.
