We are seeking a highly motivated React Front-End Developer to join our development team and enhance Socean’s suite of DeFi products. As a front-end developer, you will work closely with our front-end and on-chain team to develop an array of exciting products at the forefront of Solana’s ecosystem.

This offer is for a full-time / part-time contract role with flexible remote working conditions and an immediate start date.

You will...

• Build the Socean front-end experience.
• Work closely with our Head of Product to deeply understand the needs of our users.
• Collaborate with our Chief Engineer to translate our users’ needs into working front-end user interfaces.
• Integrate front-end React components with Socean’s custom on-chain smart contracts (written in Rust).
• Translate designs and wire-frames from our design team into high-quality, responsive and modern React components and code.
• Ensure our UI components and libraries are reliable, scalable, secure and extensible.
• Debug production issues across our UI with an eye towards improving maintainability over the long term.

You ideally have...

• Experience building scalable component libraries, design systems and tools using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in developing front-end software, with deep experience in React.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, and Material UI.
• Experience shipping high-quality products from start to finish.
• Attention to detail, especially around performance, accessibility, reliability and security.
• Ability to learn new technologies and languages quickly.

Extra love from us if you have...

• Proficiency in Rust (in order to read and understand our smart contracts).
• Proficiency in Solana Javascript API (https://solana-labs.github.io/solana-web3.js/) and Project Serum’s Anchor(https://project-serum.github.io/anchor/getting-started/introduction.html).
• Working knowledge of the Solana blockchain infrastructure and mechanics.
• An eye for UI/UX design.
